I need to get lost tonight.

I’ve been conducting research since 8:00am…and I need to get lost tonight.

It’s draining to conduct interviews because they’re not real conversations. They’re fake conversations…at least for me. Because for me, they’re not a natural give and take of ideas. For me they’re a planned and calculated discussion. For me they’re a performance - a scripted improv show with a guest star that’s fun but important, open but focused, casual but crucial.

Sometimes my work feels like I’m taking a roadtrip in someone’s brain where I have the map but no idea we're going.

So need to I need to get lost in my own brain tonight.

And I think I found the perfect track for that.
