My friend Aaren sent this to me today:

I thought is was the nicest thing. The sweetest thing. And at first, the saddest thing. But then, after a second, it realized it wasn’t sad at all. Getting wounded isn’t a sad thing. Getting destroyed isn’t a sad thing. It’s what you do. It’s what happens when you’re trying to figure it all out. It’s what happens when you try to take on the things that scare the shit out of you. You fight. You fail. And then you get back up.

But it’s a lot easier, when you have friends like Aaren in your corner.
