Can't Have | Steven A. Clark
I found Steven A. Clark’s “Can’t Have” yesterday and it’s been the only thing I’ve listened to since.
I
CAN’T
STOP
I’m always a sucker for song about regret, or rejection, feeling unrequited, that I can dance to.
I can always find a good slow sad song. Something to sit in the corner to. Or something to listen to while I gaze off in the distance with my eyes welling up.
But finding a song that reflects the happiness in what-could-be-seen-as-a-sad moment? That is pure gold.
Because feeling regret, rejection, or unrequited can happen all the time. And I can either let it render me immobile with all the negative feelings it brings with it. Or I can see it for something else…something eye opening…something life-shifting…something game changing…and let it move me.
(and shake my boo-tay-tay a little.)
