I love this mix. Well…I already love this song. But whenever Jamie XX remixes one of his tracks, he brings this this little added magic. And this song is no different.

I love how he makes this track linger. He makes it linger like it needs to. He makes this track linger in the same way your heart can linger. When it holds on to something that isn’t there anymore. Or at least pretends to.

I don’t know if we really “hold on” to things that have disappeared. Or if we really just want to make sure we remember what it feels like to have it in our grasp. To make sure we can still grasp it if something similar comes along. Like we’re making sure our heart’s muscle memory is still intact. So we can feel something just as beautiful again….or even more so.
