This track creeps up on you.

I think I first heard it while reading or writing.

And at some point I stopped and paid attention to what I was hearing.

It’s like one of those times you hang out with someone who’s been in-and-out of your life for years.

Someone who’s closeness and connection goes in waves.

Someone who’s helped you grow from their presence…and their absence.

Someone you’ve learned to accept and love…at an arms length.

When you hang out with them, it’s like hanging out with a new friend - getting to know them through the stories of their day-to-day.

Just a normal convo - one you can drift in and out of.

Until it takes a turn.

And you realize you’re having an entirely different conversation.

One you’ve needed to have for a long time.

One that makes you stop, and pay attention.

One that makes you take it all in.
