One of the hardest things about being isolated for so long was not getting recognized or celebrated by the people we love and people who love us.

Not hearing that little “Yes!” or “Nice!”, or the not-so-little “I’m proud of you” or “I love you”, or the encouraging “you got this” or. “I’m here for you”, isn’t easy. It’s really hard to go through tough times and be distanced from our core source of support.

But not having that source can force us to find that support in other ways. It can force us to support ourselves. To give ourselves a little “Yes!. A little “Nice!”. It forces us to say “I’m proud of you” and “I love you” to ourselves. It forces us to realize “we got this” without anyone telling us.

One of the hardest things about being isolated for so long was not being recognized or celebrated by the people we love and people who love us.

But it was amazing to learn how to recognize and celebrate ourselves.
