This has been a weird week. One where being reminded about love is probably a good thing. Thank god for this track.

This week has been filled with a lot of ups and downs. And not just for me. It seems like for everyone.

Reading about Ahmaud Aubrey sent me through a rollercoaster of emotions this week: sadness, fear, strength, rage - all interwoven together in mesh that’s often invisible but always present.

This track has nothing to do with violence or race. And it feels like it’s on a different part of an entirely different spectrum. But listening to the chorus this week has helped. Hearing those words over and over again feels comforting. Almost healing in a way. Like it’s trying to remind me about the one emotion that makes everything better. The one emotion that can bring so much beauty in the world. The one emotion that makes me connect with music and people in the most meaningful way. The one emotion that, somehow, makes all of the ups and downs bearable.
