I think this song is unexpectedly perfect for walking around Milan tonight.

I arrived in Milan last night and I love it. But to be honest I can’t tell what I love more - the city or the fact that it’s not home.

I’ve always loved exploring new places. But recently, I think I love getting lost in them more.

I love my life in SF. But sometimes it gets monotonous.

The same schedule, the same routine, the same places, the same people. Don’t get me wrong, my life is fucking great and I do not take that for granted. But between magical moments there’s a sameness that makes me feel a little numb.

There’s something about the remix of this track that taps into that numbness and brings some feeling back. It’s like it takes that rhythm - that everyday rhythm that’s become as ubiquitous as a metronome - and adds another beat that makes me feel the rhythm differently. Like it breathes life back into it.

I’m sure this trip won’t be all wine and roses (well…i mean…there will be wine). And I know working on a completely different time zone will be a bitch. But I’m excited to feel things differently. I’m excited to walk around to a new beat for a couple of weeks.
