I’m a little drained.

To be honest because it’s the best kind of drained.

I’m drained from traveling to celebrate with friends. I’m drained from keeping multiple work projects in flight. And I’m drained from keeping the details of my life from falling through the cracks.

I’ve been non-stop in the best way. But I’m feeling it.

I’m feeling that bit of exhaustion that can make hanging out with friends hard. That bit of exhaustion that makes alone time feel restorative instead of expansive. That bit of exhaustion that titers between living life and experiencing it.

I need to come up for air.

I need to take a beat.

But tonight, I have a work dinner.

And after that, I have to wash my hair.

And in the morning I have to go to the DMV.

I need to take a beat. And I will.

But until then, I’m going to let this track give me that bit of air I need.
