And here it is.

My favorite track of 2020.

The track I listened to more than any other this year.

It’s the type of track I fall in love with.

It’s the type of track that made me want start this project in the first place.

It’s the type of track that uses music to explore being human in the most beautiful way.

It combines most aching lyrics with the most seductive beat.

It makes make want to curl up in a ball but it moves me to dance.

It reminds me of how beautiful the most painful moments in life are.

The moments that crush my stomach and force my eyes open to confront a truth I didn’t know I was ready for.

The moments that transform me.

The ones that make me decide who I’m going to be.

If I’m going to be that person that stands still looking back in defeat or that person that moves forward with the faith I can take on what comes next.

It’s taken me while to realize how important those moments are.

It’s taken me a while to realize the person I’ve chosen to be.

A person who’s not afraid to have my eyes opened. And have my stomach crushed.

Because no matter how much I want to curl up in a ball, I just keep dancing.
