This is the type of track that represents why I love great house music; It can be magic.

Take some heart-wrenching lyrics that make you want to curl up in a ball in the corner. Then take a beat that compels your your head, shoulders, and hips to sway so much that you can’t help but dance. When you put those things together it’s magic.

There’s something about that seemingly contradictory combination of sadness and pleasure - when it’s perfectly married together in house music, you can have a moment where you realize that at the core, they’re really just the same.

And to me, that’s magic.
