I like being single.

I like being in relationships too. But I find being single so much fun.

I feel like so many people miss out on the beauty of being single. Because they don’t see “being single” as a state in itself but rather the state of not “being in a relationship”.

But being single has nothing to with not being in a relationship.

Being single isn’t about looking for a relationship. Being single isn’t about waiting for the right one to come along. Being single is about experiencing the world at your own rhythm, alone. And it can be a fucking incredible experience if you let it.

I really like being single. Because I don’t define it as not being in a relationship. And I can enjoy how sweet it is.

But this song is reminding me of how sweet not being single can be too.
