What you said, I wrote it down. I won’t say, I won’t speak…the same. Maybe I know better than to read more from what’s written.
Something about this album is just so sweetly melancholy. Like it’s celebrating those difficult times. Those difficult moments…of disconnection. When words somehow loose their power to communicate, and lie mute on the floor. Leaving you wandering aimlessly…like the most heartbreaking game of Pin the Tail on the Donkey.
But they don’t ignore how stirring walking around blindfolded can be. How stumbling with your arms outstretched, reaching for searching for something to feel, is just as exciting as it is scary. And that it’s something that all of us have done. And do. And will keep doing. If we let ourselves.
And maybe if we all walked around with blindfolds in our pockets, we might remind ourselves, every now and again, how good it can feel.
