Sun Models Ft. Madelyn Grant | Odesza

Um…why is this week going so well? I’m not quite understanding what’s happening here. 

Yesterday was chill and productive. Today, no meetings and my inbox is almost empty. And tomorrow looks like I might be able to finish some projects early. What the fuck is going on?!

I feel like I’m a kid back in Chicago in the winter, who just put on long underwear, my snowsuit, boots, hat, scarf, earmuffs, and Freezy Freakies (yeah…that’s right Freezy Freakies!) and walked outside to 50* sunshine. I feel like I’m slowly peeling off my layers of clothing with the cautious trepidation that this sunshine won’t last. That the moment I run outside in my corduroy overalls, the sun will disappear, the snow will start falling, and I’ll be caught outside shivering. 

But the truth is, I’ve never been that cautious. I’d be kicking off those boots, ripping off that snowsuit, and running outside in 15 seconds flat. I’d be all over the place basking in the smallest break in winter. And even as it got darker, and snowflakes started to fall, and I started to see my breath, I’d stay outside to enjoy just the smallest bit of freedom before I had to go back inside.
