Why Don't You Touch Me - Leon Bridges

When I listened to ‘Gold-Diggers Sound’ and this track came on, I was done.

After falling in love ‘Steam’ and ‘Motobike’, this track made it official for me - This was one of the best albums of 2021.

It was a grandiose statement…but one I would fully defend - To be honest, there haven’t been a lot of game changing albums released this year. But if tracks 2-4 of ‘Gold-Diggers Sound’ were THAT GOOD, this album was going to be amazing…even without listening to the other tracks. Whenever people asked me for music to listen to, I shared this one and told them it might be the best album of the year.

Who knows if I’m right.

All I know is that this album delivers.

And this track is so heartbreakingly honest and beautiful that it made me wonder “what have i been listening to all year?”
